Bedroom Furniture

DH and I purchased bedroom furniture in the middle of December and were told it would be 12 weeks. Thankfully it was only 8 since we were sharing a small bureau that wasn't thrown out and each had two drawers. NOT FUN. We have a room of open boxes being used as drawers. It is hard to live like that. I know I am not in a rush to furnish my home, but I need a sense of order and can't stand clutter. So open boxes as bureaus drives me insane. Especially when you can't find something and you know exactly where it was in your old apartment.

The master bedroom still needs to be finished painting and then I will upload some pictures. I also was torn when we bought the furniture if I should get an upholstered bed or the bed that matches my set. I decided to get the wood bed, so I still need to order that.

Without further ado. The furniture is evern more gorgeous in person if I do say so myself.

I have wanted to start a blog for awhile now. Especially since I totally lurk on other people's blogs.

We moved into our house in November 2009 and have been slowly decorating and buying furniture. I hope to be uploading pictures soon. It is hard going from a small 500 square foot walk up apartment to a house. We got rid of all our Ikea/Target furniture. So we have much we need to buy. Glad my husband and I are both on the same page and not in a rush. Especially since I want traditional furniture that will last a lifetime let alone future generations.

I have fallen in love with Farrow and Ball paint, the colors are gorgeous and rich. They are eco friendly and do not have harsh smells like other brands which is a major plus to me. I have been using the Modern Emulsion in all the rooms so far and have been very happy with my choices. Plus they are a British company so another huge plus to me. I love everything British.
